We have not had this much snow in a few years! To my surprise, we will have about 3 feet of this fluffy snow! But it is very important to stay safe, so stay inside until the wind and snow dies down.

According to the town website-
“The Town has experienced rapidly deteriorating conditions beginning around 3:45 a.m. with high winds, white out conditions, high snow drifts and increased requests for evacuation particularly on Central Avenue and Surfside Road. A vehicle has washed away on Edward Foster Road.

Central Ave in Humarock is not passable with four feet of water at present and Front Street and Cole Parking have over four feet of water at this time.

The Town declared a State of Emergency at 4:55 a.m. There are a dozen individuals at the shelter with more expected after being evacuated.

There have been isolated power outages as a result of downed trees. The heavy winds are keeping snow off the wires but this is expected to change once the wind dies down and heavy snow sits on the wires.

Please stay inside. Conditions will continue to be severe and the afternoon tide will bring more flooding.”

#Free Ice Skating

*This year Widow’s Walk has decided to open a free ice skating rink!
You can come and skate on a pond or a homemade rink. It is also free! You can come and skate at Widow’s Walk until 9:00pm!

*Natural spots like cranberry bogs are the perfect places to skate! Cranberry bogs are much bigger than the rinks at Widow’s Walk, so if you play ice hockey this is the perfect place for you! Like Widow’s Walk, it is free to skate!

*Also on Route 3A, Herring Brook is another great place to skate. It is completely frozen. Just like Widow’s Walk and the Cranberry Bogs, it is free to skate here.

Gather your skates and snow pants because it’s time to have some fun!

# Santa Treats

Santa spends a long time in the cold delivering presents, so some delicious home made cookies and fresh milk or hot cocoa would cheer him up.

Cookies I suggest:

* Sugar cookies with frosting

* snicker doodles

* chocolate chip cookies

Milk or Cocoa?:

* Milk is great because it will wash down those home made cookies.

* Cocoa is great because it will make him warm. You know he has been delivering presents all night in the cold.

Milk:

*Fresh milk { Maybe from the milk man or a farm.}

Cocoa:

*Milk chocolate

*Dark chocolate

# Santa is coming!

It is time to make some wish lists for Santa! Here are some pointers on how to make one:

*First, I would write a friendly note to him. This may include:
I am sorry if I have been bad, but I try to be good, and write how much you love him and why.
*Next, I would tell him what you would like for Christmas. I would write about 3-5 wishes because surprises are fun!
*Then, I would decorate your card with some glitter, stickers, and maybe some colored paper.

If you are lucky Santa might write back!
